The Harriot barley variety belongs to spring forms. Its origin is based on the crossing of breeding lines GS 1635 and Nordus with the variety Annabell.
The variety was mentioned in 2005 Danish field trial materials and specialized databases on disease resistance, however, detailed agronomic characteristics, such as plant height, grain quality indicators, and maturity group, are practically absent in open publications.
