The variety is a winter six-row barley with a rather high stem and rapid spring development. It is characterized by moderate resistance to lodging and moderate to rather good winter hardiness.
The plant possesses specific resistance genes to powdery mildew Ml-(41/145) and Ml-h. The variety is weakly affected by powdery mildew and leaf rust, has moderate susceptibility to net blotch, and strong or rather strong susceptibility to other types of leaf spots.
In the 1990s, the variety was characterized as high-yielding, especially on loess soils. At present, the variety is mainly preserved in genetic collections and databases.
