The variety is a representative of Czech breeding from the 1990s and is part of the so-called "diamond series," focused on improving productivity and grain quality. Genetically, the variety was obtained as a result of crossing lines HE 3380 and Salome.
The plant belongs to the short-stemmed category, which provides resistance to lodging. Breeding work on the variety was focused on ensuring complex resistance to powdery mildew, rust, leaf spot, and smut diseases. Initially positioned as a feed variety, it also participated in programs to improve malting qualities.
