The barley variety Henni was bred in Germany. In breeding practice, it has been known since at least 1995 and was included in international variety registers, including registration in the Czech Republic in 2006.
Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant are absent in open sources. Henni primarily appears in scientific works as an object of genetic research and a parental form, particularly in studies of resistance to loose smut and the improvement of breeding traits of other varieties.
The variety belongs to the crop Hordeum vulgare L. Data on its specialization as malting or feed barley is not presented in available materials.
