The variety was created by the method of intraspecific hybridization using the Ratnik variety in its pedigree. The plant is characterized by a semi-spreading bush habit and the presence of intense anthocyanin coloration of the flag leaf auricles.
The barley ear is two-rowed, pyramidal in shape, and of medium density. Awns are long, with intense anthocyanin coloration of the tips. Plant height is medium.
The hulless grain is easily separated from the husk during threshing. The protein content in the grain is 16–18%.
