Jakubus is a six-row winter barley variety Hordeum vulgare L. with a medium-late maturation period and medium plant height. The variety demonstrates high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging.
The plant has good tolerance to leaf diseases, including very high resistance to powdery mildew, as well as resistance to leaf scald and net blotch. Resistance to brown rust is estimated as medium.
The variety is intended for feed purposes. Quality indicators include an average protein content of about 11.3%, a test weight of 66.7 kg/hl, and a thousand kernel weight of about 41 g.
