The variety was obtained by crossing KWS Cassia and Retriever forms. The plants are characterized by short straw, the height of which with the use of growth regulators is about 89 cm. The variety possesses good resistance to lodging and ear neck breakage.
The barley exhibits resistance to Rhynchosporium, brown rust, net blotch, and barley yellow mosaic viruses, while being moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. The grain is of the two-row type, large, with a good specific weight of about 67.9 kg/hl.
