The variety is a winter six-row mid-season barley. The plant is characterized as medium-tall, although mentions of a long stem are encountered. The variety possesses good resistance to lodging, however, a moderate tendency toward ear breakage is noted.
It possesses resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus, powdery mildew, leaf rust, helminthosporiosis, and smut, as well as high overall leaf health. The grain has an average protein content, constituting about 10.4–10.8%, and a test weight above average.
