The variety belongs to spring barley forms and is characterized as a malting type possessing high malting value. Studies of grain composition recorded a specific ratio of large and small starch granules.
During field trials with artificial inoculation, the variety showed resistance to Fusarium head blight, demonstrating relatively low levels of deoxynivalenol accumulation in the grain.
