The variety belongs to the group of winter two-row barleys developed for intensive production conditions. Morphological characteristics include short stature and a strong stem structure that contributes to high lodging resistance.
During the breeding process, the variety was used as a parent form for the development of new barley varieties. At present, the variety is of historical importance for Croatian breeding, having given way to modern hybrids.
