The variety is a six-row winter barley type intended for feed purposes and is not a malting variety.
A distinctive feature of the variety is the presence of the Ryd2 resistance gene. This genetic marker provides the plant with tolerance to barley yellow dwarf virus, which helps to reduce disease symptom severity, lower the viral titer, and minimize yield losses in the event of infection.
