The winter barley variety Trenk is characterized as an early-maturing crop. The plant stem height varies within the range of 95–100 cm, while the variety demonstrates excellent resistance to lodging.
Grain quality indicators include a test weight of 73–78 kg and a thousand kernel weight of 48–50 g. Although the variety is considered primarily as feed, studies show a β-glucan content of less than 4%, which is an acceptable indicator for the brewing industry.
