The variety is a spring two-row barley, classified as malting. During its active breeding period, it served as an important quality standard and was used as a parent genotype for the development of other varieties.

The plant is characterized by rapid development and good soil cover. The variety possesses marked resistance to powdery mildew, is relatively undemanding regarding soil quality, tolerates conditions with low acidity, and exhibits moderate drought tolerance.

Currently, the variety is practically not used in industrial production, retaining its significance mainly as a marker or parent genotype in genetic collections.
