The variety is a mutation of Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans'. The plant reaches a height of 50–80 cm and a width of 80–120 cm. The leaves have a rounded shape, wavy edges, and a thick texture, which reduces their susceptibility to slug damage.

The leaf color changes: in spring the center is golden, in summer it becomes cream, and by autumn it turns greenish. The wide margin is dark bluish-green. Flowering with white bell-shaped flowers occurs in July–August.

The plant belongs to hardiness zone 4 and does not require covering. It prefers partial shade and rich, moist loams. Reversion to the traits of the parent variety is possible.
