Variety description

The variety is officially registered under the name 'Amalia'. The plant reaches a height of 40–60 cm with a diameter of 60–70 cm. The leaves are elongated, heart-shaped at the base, with a pointed tip, dense texture, deep veining, and a pronounced wavy margin.

In spring, the leaves are bright yellow with a narrow, irregular dark green margin that extends into the center of the leaf in some places. During the season, the yellow center lightens to creamy white. Lavender flowers are situated on tall scapes.

The plant is of medium growth rate, prefers partial shade and shaded sites, but tolerates morning or evening sun. Used in solitary plantings, container gardening, and for landscaping shaded gardens.
