The leaves have a dense waxy texture. The central part of the leaf is initially creamy-yellow, eventually turning white, with green margins. Petioles are bright burgundy, which extends to the leaf base and the midrib.
Flowers are lavender-purple, blooming occurs in August. The plant forms a clump 25–35 cm high and up to 50–55 cm wide; flower stalks reach a height of 65 cm. The variety is intended for cultivation in semi-shaded and shaded locations.
