The variety is a chance seedling, presumably originating from Ellendale and Murcott tangors. Trees have high vigor and an upright crown shape, which requires the use of pruning, branch girdling, and growth regulators to increase yield.
Fruits weighing 133–260 g have smooth orange-yellow peel that easily separates from the flesh. The variety is distinguished by long-term retention of fruit quality while on the tree, as well as a rich mandarin flavor with a low acidity level.
