VSL 2.3 is a specialized breeding achievement that does not belong to fruit crop varieties intended for harvest. It is a vegetatively propagated rootstock related to the well-known VSL-2 rootstock.
This rootstock is characterized by adaptability to soil conditions and resistance to a number of pathogens common to stone fruit crops. It is used for grafting various stone fruit species in nursery production.
