The rootstock is an interspecific hybrid of tomato and the wild species Solanum habrochaites. It is intended for use in greenhouses and plastic tunnels in both soil culture and hydroponic systems. Its use promotes the development of powerful vegetative mass of the grafted plant and adaptation to stress conditions.

The plant possesses high resistance to soil-borne diseases, including Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, corky root rot, and nematodes. The use of the rootstock is aimed at increasing the total and marketable yield of the scion, especially in soils with limited fertility.
