The rootstock is used in professional greenhouse production, hydroponic systems, and in areas with depleted or saline soils. It possesses increased growth vigor, promotes the maintenance of fruit size during prolonged harvesting, and ensures continuity of vegetation and flowering of the scion part.

The plant has high resistance to tomato mosaic virus, tobacco necrosis virus, leaf mold, Fusarium wilt and root rot, Verticillium wilt, and corky root rot. Intermediate resistance is noted for tomato spotted wilt virus and root-knot nematodes, with the rootstock carrying the Mi-1.2 gene, which provides genetic protection against certain nematode species.
