The hybrid is the result of crossing Solanum lycopersicum L. and S. habrochaites S. Knapp & D.M. Spooner. Its primary task is to create a powerful root system that promotes the development of the grafted cultivar.
The plant possesses complex resistance to Fusarium wilt and Verticillium wilt, as well as to nematodes. Fruit characteristics, such as morphology or maturity group, do not apply to this rootstock, as it is not intended for fruit production.
