The rootstock is a hybrid of Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. Its primary purpose is to improve vegetative development, increase productivity, and provide resistance in cultivated tomato varieties to adverse conditions and soil-borne infections.

The plant possesses high growth energy and promotes intensive development of the scion's aerial mass. Its ability to reduce infestation by broomrape (Phelipanche ramosa) has been proven, as well as its effectiveness in controlling corky root rot and Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae).

When cultivating, it is recommended to sow the rootstock seeds approximately three days earlier than the scion seeds to ensure synchronization of plant development by the time the grafting procedure is performed.
