The hybrid is obtained by crossing Solanum lycopersicum with the wild species S. habrochaites to provide high resistance to soil-borne pathogens and stress conditions. The plant is characterized by high vigor and is intended exclusively for use as a rootstock for tomato grafting.

The rootstock possesses high resistance to nematodes Meloidogyne incognita, fusarium wilt (races 0, 1, 2 and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis lycopersici), verticillium wilt and corky root rot Pyrenochaeta lycopersici, as well as tomato mosaic virus. The hybrid is distinguished by good germination homogeneity and cotyledon height convenient for the grafting process.
