The hybrid is the result of crossing Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. The plant is characterized by high vigor and a developed root system, while it is not grown for fruit production, so maturity or fruit height indicators do not apply to it.

The rootstock has moderate resistance to root-knot nematodes, including Meloidogyne spp. and M. enterolobii species. Grafting onto this rootstock facilitates the adaptation of cultivars to stress factors, such as soil salinity or excess boron content, and also helps balance the vegetative development of the scion.
