The rootstock is an interspecific hybrid of Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. Its primary purpose is to increase the scion's resistance to soil-borne pathogens, improve adaptability to stress conditions, and stimulate plant growth vigor in both soil and hydroponic cultivation.
The plant has high resistance (HR) to Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1, 2), Fusarium crown and root rot, Verticillium wilt, and Tomato mosaic virus. It exhibits intermediate resistance (IR) to nematodes and the causal agent of corky root rot.
Distinctive features of the rootstock are its powerful root system and high compatibility with various types of tomatoes. The use of this rootstock helps maintain fruit set at low temperatures and reduces the risk of hollow fruit.
