The hybrid is a vigorous plant obtained by crossing Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. It is used to increase scion survival rates and the overall viability of grafted commercial tomato varieties.

The plant possesses complex resistance to a number of diseases, including Fusarium wilt and crown rot, Verticillium wilt, as well as nematodes. Yield and fruit quality indicators are not applicable to this hybrid, as it is grown exclusively as an agrotechnical tool.
