The variety forms white 'mophead' type inflorescences. Despite the name suggesting a lacecap type of inflorescence, they are dense and rounded. The plant has strong stems, is characterized by high growth vigor, and the ability to re-bloom after pruning.
In literature, the variety is also known under the name 'Balsam'. The variety was found in the Balsam Mountains in North Carolina at an altitude of about 1200 meters. The name 'Highland Lace' is also erroneously applied to a number of species of tree ferns, which are biologically different plants.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
