Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 m, sometimes up to 1.8 m. Flowering begins in mid-summer and continues until autumn. The variety was the first Hydrangea arborescens form with pink 'mophead' type inflorescences, the color of which varies from dark pink buds to inflorescences that lighten with age.

The plant's stems may not be sufficiently strong and are prone to lodging under the weight of the inflorescences, so the variety often requires staking or support. The plant possesses the high winter hardiness typical for the species and is suitable for use as a specimen plant, in group plantings, and for cut flowers.
