Variety description

The plant forms a dense, upright shrub 1–1.5 m in height and width with a growth rate of 15–50 cm per year. Leaves are medium-green, ovate, with a serrated margin.

Cup-shaped inflorescences bloom from June to September. In acidic soils with the presence of aluminum ions, the petals turn blue.

The variety prefers partial shade or shaded sites, humus-rich soils, and increased moisture. It is frost-resistant, but in harsh climates, it may require covering to preserve flower buds.
