The medium-sized shrub reaches a height of 1.40–1.60 m and is distinguished by a strong and sturdy habit. The variety's inflorescences are of the mophead type and have a slightly flattened shape. The variety has been known since before 1930.

The color of the inflorescences depends on the soil pH level: in an acidic environment they acquire blue tones, in neutral or alkaline — pink ones. By autumn, the inflorescences are colored in purple or reddish hues. The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness down to -18 °C.

The variety is suitable for cutting and creating dried bouquets. It is used in landscape design for single and group plantings, as well as for container cultivation.
