The variety is a deciduous, vigorous shrub intended for both open field and container cultivation. The plant forms flat, lace-like inflorescences in which large sterile flowers on the periphery are combined with a multitude of small fertile flowers in the center.
The color of the sterile flowers is bright pink, while the fertile flowers have a predominantly blue hue. The shrub is characterized by winter hardiness and reliability and is often considered part of the "Teller" series of varieties developed in Switzerland.
