The variety is a deciduous shrub with a dense, upright crown and glossy dark green egg-shaped leaves with a serrated edge. Inflorescences are most often of the lacecap type, although they are sometimes described as globose.
The flowers have a pink-white color with a dark border, which varies when soil acidity changes from 4.5 to 5.5 pH. Flowering lasts from June to September; the variety is suitable for cultivation as a solitary plant, in groups, or in containers.
The plant prefers partial shade and requires fertile, moist soil without water stagnation. The variety is thermophilic, so in regions with cold winters, covering is necessary to protect flower buds.
