The plant reaches a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters, or 40–60 cm when container-grown. Foliage is dark green, glossy, and dense. Stems are strong and resistant to lodging. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6, which implies survival down to -20...-23°C and the need for protection in northern regions.

Flowering lasts from June to September-October; the variety is considered remontant and blooms on both previous and current year's growth. Inflorescence shape is described in two ways in various sources: as mophead with dense inflorescences 15–25 cm in diameter, or as lacecap with flat inflorescences having a cream-white center and a pink rim.
