Variety description

The shrub reaches about 1.0 meters in height and width. The plants possess strong shoots that hold the inflorescences without the use of supports. The flowers often have a characteristic edging along the petal margin.

The flowering period lasts from June to September; many forms possess remontant properties, allowing them to bloom on the current year's shoots. The plants prefer fertile, moist, well-drained soils with an acidic or slightly acidic pH, at which the inflorescence color changes from pink-crimson to blue-violet.

Winter hardiness corresponds to zone 5 (down to -20 °C); in climatic conditions, mandatory winter covering is required.
