Variety description

The plant is a vigorously growing branched shrub 1.2–1.6 m tall with a spreading crown. The leaves are large, ovate, dark green with a glossy surface. A feature of the variety is the double star-shaped sterile flowers located on the periphery of the corymbose inflorescence.

Flowering lasts from July to September. Depending on the soil pH level, the flowers change shade, and towards the end of summer, they acquire reddish or bronze tones. The variety requires wind-protected places in partial shade or shade, moist and humus-rich soils, and winter covering due to limited winter hardiness.

The variety blooms on last year's shoots, so spring pruning is limited to the removal of dry wood and inflorescences. The plant is suitable for single and group plantings, as well as for growing in containers. There are discussions in literature regarding the identity of this variety with the Shamrock variety.
