Variety description

Upright deciduous shrub up to 1.5–2 meters tall with large, glossy, serrated dark green leaves. The inflorescences are flat, lacecap-type, resembling fireworks due to the long, thin pedicels of the sterile semi-double flowers.

The flowers are white, although on acidic soils with a pH below 5.5 they may acquire a bluish tint. The plant prefers partial shade and humus-rich moist soils. Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots, therefore it requires careful pruning.

The plant is used in landscape design for planting in partial shade and is suitable for container cultivation. In regions with cold winters, mulching of the root zone is recommended.
