Variety description

The variety is part of the Japanese "Halo" or "Frau" series (Japanese Lady Series). The inflorescences are characterized by a bicolored picotee-type pattern, where the edges of the sepals contrast with the main part of the flower.

The plant is a deciduous shrub. Like other members of the species, the variety changes flower color depending on soil acidity and its aluminum content. The variety "Frau Otaki" should not be confused with the old historical variety "Otaksa".
