The Jogasakishizuku variety belongs to Hydrangea macrophylla of Japanese origin. The plant forms lacecap inflorescences characterized by double marginal flowers.

The shrub reaches a height of one and a half meters over ten years of growth. Flowering of the variety lasts from June to August, with the flower shade depending on the soil pH level: on acidic soils they turn blue, and on neutral or slightly alkaline soils — pink.
