The shrub reaches a height of 1–1.5 meters; when grown in containers, it maintains a more compact size of about 1 meter. Leaves are dense, elliptical in shape, bright green, and may acquire an orange-yellow hue in autumn.
Flower color depends on soil acidity: on neutral and slightly alkaline soils, they are pink-crimson, and on acidic soils, they are blue or violet. The variety belongs to hardiness zone 6 and requires winter covering in regions with moderate and cold climates.
