The variety forms Mophead-type inflorescences. The color of the sepals varies from greenish to salmon-pink or violet depending on soil acidity. A characteristic feature is the serrated edges of the sepals near their tips.
The plant has sturdy stems and reaches a height of 1.5–1.8 meters. The winter hardiness of the variety is moderate; the plant withstands temperature drops down to -12 °C. The inflorescences are suitable for cutting and drying.
