Hydrangea macrophylla Magenta is used primarily as a potted houseplant. The inflorescences of this plant reach 30 cm in diameter and are distinguished by a characteristic crimson-pink color.

The plant habit is a vigorous bush. Depending on container growing conditions, the bush height varies in the range of 45 to 70 cm. One of the key visual features is the petals with an incised edge.
