The plant forms a compact, densely foliated shrub with erect branches. The leaves are large, broadly oval, dark green with a serrated edge. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–9, the variety requires protection from wind.

Flowering lasts from June to September-October. The dome-shaped inflorescences are dense and suitable for cutting due to the sturdy stems. The color of the flowers depends on soil acidity. The plant is suitable for group plantings, use as a solitaire, or cultivation in containers.

The crop prefers partial shade and humus-rich, well-drained soils with constant moisture. When kept in containers, soil acidity control is required to maintain the intensity of the petal shade.
