Variety description

The shrub reaches a height and width of 75–100 cm. Leaves are ovate with a serrated margin, turning reddish-golden shades in autumn. Dense globose inflorescences reach a diameter of 25–30 cm.

Flowers are initially pink-crimson or scarlet, darkening over time to burgundy or cherry with a green center. In acidic soils, the color changes to sapphire-blue or violet. Flowering continues from May-June to November.

The plant has winter hardiness down to -23°C (zone 5), while the inflorescences are resistant to weather conditions. Flowering on current-year shoots is possible. The crop is used in landscaping and for cut flowers.
