Variety description

The shrub reaches a height of 0.8–1.2 meters with a width of about 1 meter and has dense, shiny foliage. The inflorescences are of the globular type. On alkaline soils, the flowers are colored in a saturated pink-red color, on acidic soils — in violet or blue shades.

The flowering period occurs in summer and autumn. The plant prefers partial shade, moist fertile soils and requires protection from severe frosts in temperate climate conditions.
