The variety «RIE 04», known under the trade name «Passion» from the «You & Me» series, is a compact, upright, deciduous, rounded shrub. The height of a mature plant is about 1.2 m. The leaves are ovate, have serrated edges, and are colored in shades from medium to dark green.

The flowers of the variety are double, gathered in dense inflorescences. Their color is variable: when grown in acidic soils, the petals turn blue, and in neutral or alkaline soils, they turn pink. The variety features strong peduncles and is characterized by long-lasting flowering, which continues from spring to early autumn.

The plant has frost resistance down to -22 °C and requires protection from cold winds, preferring partial shade in the afternoon. The variety is suitable for decorative landscaping, use as a solitaire, container growing, and creating low flowering hedges.
