The variety is a compact, upright, and densely foliated shrub with a height and width of 1 to 1.2 m. The inflorescences are of the spherical type. A characteristic feature is the bicolored coloration of the petals with a distinct light margin along the edge.

The color range of the plant depends on the soil pH and the presence of aluminum: in neutral or alkaline soil, the flowers are pink-white, while in acidic soil, they are violet-blue with a white margin. Flowering lasts from July to September. The plant is winter-hardy and requires placement in partial shade with protection from wind and hot sun.
