The variety is a small shrub with broad, oval, and pubescent leaves. Its buds have a specific shape similar to peony buds.

The plant has pink-violet inflorescence coloration, the intensity of which increases under good lighting that excludes direct sunlight. The variety is close to the «Gyokudanka» variety, differing from it by a brighter shade.

Cultivation requires wind-protected areas, partial shade, and moist, humus-rich soils. The plant is sensitive to drought and heavy soils, while the species itself is characterized as winter hardy.
