Young leaves of the variety have a reddish tint and reddish petioles; as they mature, the foliage becomes dark green and acquires a soft pubescence. The inflorescences are corymbose, reaching 18 cm in diameter, and consist of white or pale pink flowers. The blooming period occurs in June-July.
The plant belongs to the arborescent hydrangeas. The height of a mature shrub varies from compact sizes up to 5 meters under active growth. The variety prefers sun, provided there is sufficient soil moisture, but can also grow in partial shade. It is considered difficult to propagate and to find for sale.
