The variety is specialized for the production of standardized extracts for pharmaceutical purposes, in particular as an antidepressant. The plant is characterized by a high content of active components.

In comparative trials, the variety showed increased resistance to the fungal disease red rot (Rotwelke) compared to susceptible varieties. In field cultivation, it is recommended to limit the application of nitrogen fertilizers, as their excess leads to a decrease in the concentration of hypericin in the raw material.
