The variety «Vitan» was selected for the needs of the pharmaceutical industry and is valued for a high level of active components used in the production of herbal medicinal products and antidepressants.
Morphologically, the variety stands out with a thick stem in comparison with other samples. In the selection process, special attention was paid to the plant's resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to Rotwelke, which is critically important for industrial cultivation.
